The bridge, which opened in 2018, provides not just a safe way to get from one bank to another, but is part of the 6.4km Bridge to Bridge loop section of the Great River Walk, and offers stunning views up the river to the Blue Mountains National Park.

Seats and viewing platforms on either side of the 200m-long bridge provide plenty of excuses to stop and take it all in. The word Yandhai is derived from Darug language and means "walking in past and present".

Take some food on your walk, and head to one of the picnic spots along the banks of the Nepean River, such as Regatta Park, Tench Reserve or Weir Reserve . Or settle in at one of the cafes and restaurants nearby to celebrate your river crossing.
