Changes & cancellations
CANCELLATIONS during Standard Periods:
- If accommodation is cancelled greater than 7 days prior to arrival, all deposits paid (less the administration fee - $30 or 1 nights accommodation see 'Deposits and Payments' for more information) will be refunded.
- If accommodation is cancelled within 7 days of arrival any payment will be forfeited unless accommodation can be re-sold.
- No refunds given for early departure.

Pets
🐾 Dogs Welcome at BIG4 Hay Plains Holiday Park
At BIG4 Hay Plains Holiday Park, we know dogs are part of the family—and we’re delighted to welcome them! Our park is dog-friendly, and we love seeing happy pups enjoying their stay with you.
While dogs are our main focus, other pets may be allowed with prior approval from park management. This ensures the safety, comfort, and health of all guests—and our resident wildlife, including our bearded dragons.
By staying with us, you agree to follow our pet guidelines for the duration of your visit.
🐶 Dogs & Other Pets Must Be Approved
- All dogs are welcome, but all pets (including cats, birds, guinea pigs, reptiles, and other animals) must be approved by park management prior to booking or arrival.
- Approval ensures that the pet is suitable for our park environment and does not pose a risk to wildlife, staff, or other guests.
- Fees apply to all approved pets, regardless of species.
- Pets brought without prior approval will not be permitted, and bookings may be canceled.
🐕 Keeping Everyone Safe & Happy
- Dogs must be on a leash at all times when outside your van, tent, or accommodation.

- Leashes must be no longer than 2 metres
- Dog runs are not permitted
- Dogs must be supervised at all times and never left unattended, including inside vans, tents, or cabins
- Pets are not permitted in common areas, including pool areas, amenities, games rooms, playgrounds, and reception (unless a designated pet area has been provided).
🚿 Cleanliness & Care
- Pets must not be washed or cleaned anywhere within the park, unless a designated dog wash is available.
- Dog bedding, blankets, or accessories must not be washed in park facilities.
- Pet waste must be picked up immediately, sealed in a bag, and disposed of in the appropriate bins.
Doggy waste bags may be available for purchase at reception.
🐕 Walking Your Dog
- Dogs may be walked around the park on a leash.
- For off-leash fun, Hay Shire Council provides a fully fenced dog park just 15 metres from the BIG4 Hay entrance (corner of Nailor Street and Russell Street).
🏡 Accommodation & Fees
- Cabins:

- $30 for the first pet, plus $5 for each additional pet
- Guests must supply and use their own pet bedding at all times
- Bedding must remain on hard floor surfaces only
- Ensuite / Powered / Unpowered Sites:

- $5 per pet, per site
- Pets are not allowed on lounges or beds at any time.
- Any cleaning, damage, or misuse of furniture, fittings, or linen caused by pets will be charged to the guest.
🐾 Responsibility & Behaviour
- Pet owners are fully responsible for their pet’s behaviour at all times.
- Any injury, damage, additional cleaning, or loss caused by a pet will be charged to the guest.
- BIG4 Hay Plains Holiday Park reserves the right to request the removal of any pet that is noisy, disruptive, aggressive, or the subject of guest complaints.
- In serious cases, guests (and their pets) may be required to leave the park immediately. No refunds will apply.
🐱 Important Notes
- Cats are not permitted in cabins unless crated at all times.
- A valid credit card is required for all bookings with pets.
- Guests must acknowledge this policy verbally or in writing prior to arrival or check-in.
♿ Guide & Assistance Dogs
Guide and Assistance Dogs are welcome in our pet-friendly cabins in accordance with the Disability Discrimination Act 1992.
Staff may respectfully request supporting accreditation. We ask that assistance animals are clean, well maintained, and under excellent control at all times.

Deposits & payments
- No booking will be held without a credit card, direct deposits will not be accepted. When making an on-line booking the complete charge of accommodation will be taken from your nominated credit card.
- Phone bookings are welcome, and charging will be discussed with you at this time. A minimum of a $30 administration fee (for a single nights accommodation) or 1 (one) night’s accommodation (if accommodation is for multiple nights) is required to confirm your booking. This is a non-refundable administration fee. The balance will be charged 7 days prior to arrival.
What you need to know

- Please refer to our cancellation policy for peak and standard time cancellations. Guests arriving outside reception hours (9:00am - 5:00pm 7 days a week) must contact the park during reception hours to make alternate arrival arrangements.
- Special requests are on request basis only and are not guaranteed at the time of booking. Please contact the park for confirmation.
- A credit card must be produced in the name of the person staying at the park on check-in.
- Any damage caused may be charged against that card.
- Adults rates apply to persons above 15 years.
- Children rates apply to guests aged 3 to 15 years.
- Check-out time is prior to 10am. Late check-outs may be arranged at an extra charge where available.
- Check-in time is from 2pm.
Vehicles:
Strictly one vehicle is allowed per site/cabin. Limited parking for additional/visitors cars is available outside the front fence of the park. Please contact reception prior to arrival if you are bringing a trailer or boat as we cannot guarantee space to park these onsite. Parking is strictly limited to one (1) vehicle under 4.5 Tonne GVM per booking (site/cabin). All 'minespec' vehicles with reverse alarms must be reversed in when parking. If you have more than one car per booking (i.e extra cars, trailers etc.) you MUST contact the office before arrival as additional parking is very limited and may not be available.
We reserve the right to refuse a booking at any time from any person reasonably believed to:
- Not be the person named on the booking request.
- Not be the person named on the credit card or not be authorised to use the card.
- Not be able to pay for any charges.
- May cause damage to the property of the park or other guests.
- May exhibit socially unacceptable behaviour.
- Be younger than 18 years and not accompanied by a responsible person over that age.
Dogs are welcome at our park, BUT if you conceal a dog or other unauthorised animal you will be asked to leave, cleaning fees are applicable to Cabins and Sites within the park and are only payable at the park.
We reserve the right to eject guests from the park who are deemed by management to be behaving in a socially unacceptable way; causing damage; disturbing other guests; using unacceptable language or otherwise breaking Park Rules. No refund will be given and charges will apply for any damage caused.
BIG4 Holiday Parks of Australia Pty Ltd is not the owner of any particular BIG4 Holiday Park. BIG4 Holiday Parks facilitates this booking service and is not responsible for the provision of services, standard of facilities or payments received. All bookings are made directly with the individual owner of this BIG4 Member Park and therefore BIG4 Holiday Parks will not accept any claims for refunds or credits.
