Pretty Beach to Pebbly Beach Walking Track

Natural Attractions

Pretty Beach to Pebbly Beach walking track is a great walk to exercise the body and refresh the mind. This long bush walk leads the forest hinterland of the central region of Murramarang National Park. It combines the beauty of the beaches and forests of this unspoilt South Coast region.

The grasslands near Pretty Beach are popular with kangaroos so make sure you bring a camera. You’ll soon be climbing steeply up Durras Mountain where forests of spotted gum mingle with coachwood and lillypilly. There’s ocean glimpses through the trees and perhaps even the cooing of the wonga pigeon.

You may arrive at Pebbly Beach to a welcoming party of kangaroos. Either way, the panoramic coastal views, with its turquoise waters, will be worth the effort. Cool off with a swim in the crystal clear ocean before tucking into a beachside picnic. If you’re feeling adventurous, make your way back via the picturesque Snake Bay and Clear Point.
