Port Arthur Historic Site is a special place of complex history, heritage and compelling stories. It is a place of global significance and one of the 11 places that together form the UNESCO Australian Convict Sites World Heritage Property.

Port Arthur Historic Site is village in Southern Tasmania, located an hour and 20 minutes from BIG4 Hobart Airport Tourist Park.

Located on the Tasmanian Peninsula, it was a 19th century penal settlement and is now an open-air museum. The ruins include a huge penitentiary and the remaining shell of a Convict Church, built by inmates. 

Take a cruise to see the historic site from the water or experience a ghost tour. Visit the various cafes or indulge yourself in the gift shop.
