Port Arthur Historic Site
Located on the Tasmanian Peninsula, it was a 19th century penal settlement and is now an open-air museum. The ruins include a huge penitentiary and the remaining shell of a Convict Church, built by inmates. 

Take a cruise to see the historic site from the water or experience a ghost tour. Visit the various cafes or indulge yourself in the gift shop.
